About the Conference
Today, the psychosomatic disorders have emerged as epidemic and entail serious negative impacts in the human, social and economic realms. The risk factors for psychosomatic disorders are many, often begin early in life and continue throughout adulthood. WHO projections show that psychosomatic diseases will be responsible for a sharp increased number of deaths in the next decade with worst affecting countries like South-East Asia including India. Every household in India seems to have at least one member with psychosomatic disorder.
Because of emerging behavioural and health challenges, the development of an integral healthcare system that is rooted in appropriate regulation and supported by rigorous scientific evidence is the direction that many models of integrative healthcare are moving towards in the 21st century. The time has come where we practitioners have to unite and compliment in working towards overcoming these challenges by collaborating with each other.
